But how about your very own customized card guard? Here's a nice solution. A sold brass gold or chrome plated coin card guard, with a center inlay image customized with whatever text or graphics you want. Your custom image is printed on polycarbonate laminated vinyl and set into the center area of the gold or chrome plated brass coin. Each coin weighs almost a quarter of a pound. At over 2" in diameter and 1/8" thick, this card guard will last a lifetime. The card guard itself has an ace, king, queen, and jack going around the outside of the coin with the words, raise, check, call, and all-in in between. These designs are all embossed into the coin and color filled. Your custom image is set into the center as an inlay. They make fantastic prizes or giveaways at tournaments or poker partys. Common Question: I want to design my own image, what are the design specifications? Image specs vary from chip to chip, click here for design specs for the brass card guard. After you have designed your chips, use the click to buy button above to submit your graphics and upload your order. If you need us to design your image, no problem, basic design is free with your set! You can still proceed with ordering by describing what you want by clicking the click to buy button at the top of this page. Common Question: You say this is an inlay card guard, what exactly does that mean? An inlay card guard is one where your custom image is printed off the chip on vinyl, laminated with a rock hard polycarbonate coating and set into the recessed center of an existing chip or card guard of your choice. With an inlay card guard or poker chip you are customizing only the center of area of the chip. And yes, both sides of the chip are printed. Common Question: Will these inlays eventually peel off? I don't want cheap stickers on my card guards. How an inlay is manufactured makes all the difference when producing a quality set. An inlay printed on paper and laminated with a thin vinyl won't last 6 months. We use a 2 mm thick vinyl substrate to print on, and use the most expensive lamination available, polycarbonate, to protect the image. The lamination is the key to your set lasting years, and because of this we only use the best. Your images are completely water proof and oil resistant with polycarbonate lamination. Can you peel these images off? If you tried hard, meaning you picked at the images for a while or used a knife or razor blade to try to get them out, yes, they will come off. But if you use them for playing poker or handing them out for promotions, the images will not come off and last for years. Common Question: Are there any other charges I should know about besides the per chip price and shipping cost? Yes there can be. Below are examples of possible up charges: Chip Design: Basic chip design is free with your card guard. This includes an original design, one round of medium revisions, and one round of small changes. If there are multiple rounds of revisions or major design changes midway through the design phase, graphic design charges will apply at $45 per hour. Most card guard designs can be completed for no charge if planned correctly. This is why it's important to know what you want and explain it to us in the most detail as possible in the beginning. Custom Illustration: Custom illustration is when you send us a logo or graphic, that's poor quality and needs to be recreated by an artist. Many people pull images off the web and send it to us expecting that it can print. Usually they are too small in size (the images, not the people who send them) or are poor quality and need to be redrawn by hand. That is custom illustration. Custom chip design is where we would take that recreated illustration, or any other design element, and incorporate it into a custom chip design. Custom illustration costs around $40 for average sized jobs, and up to $100 for complex jobs. Rush Charges: Rush charge may apply when you require production time in less than 7 business days. We will quote you rush charges upon request. Custom Brass Card Guard Pricing Includes basic card guard design, printing both sides of card guard. Minimum order is 10 card guards.
